Frequently Asked Questions

You should have all the answers you need to make the best decision for your skin, so here they are!
How long does my hair need to be before I book my appointment?
We need a little something to grab onto to perform the expert flick! For the best results and the least amount of discomfort, your hair should be at least 10–14 days grown out (about the size of a grain of rice). This ensures a clean pull and weeks of smooth sailing!
What is the magical "sugar paste" actually made of?
Simple, natural, and kind to your skin! Our superior, eco-friendly paste uses just three humble kitchen ingredients: Sugar, Lemon, and Water. That's it! You won't find any artificial dyes, chemical perfumes, or strange add-ins here.
How is sugaring different from traditional waxing?
The difference is in the flick—and the direction! Unlike waxing, we remove the hair by flicking the paste in the natural direction of growth. This is the key to preventing irritation. Waxing and shaving bend the hair against the follicle, causing breakage, razor burn, and ingrown hairs. Our technique ensures a clean pull from the root for healthier, happier follicles and a waste-free experience (no strips or sticks!).
Does sugaring hurt more or less than waxing?
Since we remove the hair in its natural direction, sugaring is significantly less abrasive and uncomfortable than other methods. This gentle technique is the key to breaking the cycle of irritation and ensuring a clean pull. Clients often report that their skin feels much better immediately following the service than it does after waxing.
I have super sensitive skin. Is this service safe for me?
Absolutely! Because the paste is all-natural, gentle, and only adheres to dead skin cells (not live ones!), sugaring can be used on all skin types without worry. Consider it your guilt-free pass to amazing, irritation-free self-care! We can also always start with a smaller service to test things out!
How long will the results last?
Sugaring is all about consistency! You have 3–4 different hair growth cycles happening at once (hello, uneven length!). That means your very first visit might not catch every hair, but when you return in four weeks, we grab the next batch. Keep consistent, and you'll quickly achieve those longer, sparser, and oh-so-smooth results with every appointment!
What time will I save ditching the razor and getting sticky with sugar?
Switching to sugar can save you 24 hours a year vs shaving! Possibly even more time if we are doing more then one service. Get sugared 12 times a year or shave 12 times a month? Seems like a no brainer to us!
